Helpful Mounting Terms (See Sign Terminology):

Flush or Direct Mount: Sign mounting technique where the sign is attached directly against the wall with no space between wall and sign.

Raceway: A metal box running the length of a set of lighted letters, where all electrical wires and transformers are housed. All letters are connected together on the face of the raceway and the entire unit is mounted to the wall. This method of installing lighted letters minimizes wall penetrations and makes for easier service in the future.

Wireway: Similar to a Raceway, but thinner in depth. The wireway contains the secondary wires, but the power packs or transformers are contained within the building. May also refer to a wireway inside of a cabinet sign, where electrical is contained.

​​​​​​​​​Channel Letter Signs are the main ID or storefront signage that identifies your business.​

Front lit Illuminated Channel Letter Signs:They are the most common channel letter type that provide illumination only from the front (or face) of the letters and can be either raceway or flush mounted. Direct Sign Wholesale can produce this letter type in many different font and color combinations.

Non-Illuminated Signs- This type of sign can be just about anything- Post & panels, alum panels, channel letters, flat cut out letters and window/ door vinyl.

Reverse Channel Letter Signs- Also called halo or backlit signs, these lit letters are mounted away from the wall so a halo forms behind them
